Swyg Challenge - Rules
Swyg is on a mission to make hiring more fair for everyone. But we need your help. We’ve created the Swyg interview challenge to help us, and everyone else get examples of what great interviewing looks like on both sides of the table.
The spirit of the competition is to be collaborative with your peers; helping beginners, and having fun.
While some people enjoy competition, most people take part to better themselves and have fun. While others join to help coach other participants. Whatever the reason is you’re participating, make sure you’re upholding the rules.
You must treat all fellow participants and attendees with respect and courtesy.
You must behave professionally at all times.
Harassment and racist, sexist, or exclusionary remarks are grounds for immediate disqualification and a ban from this and future events.
You must be at least 18 years of age to participate.
To participate in the challenge you must attend the virtual challenge event at the date/time posted on the contest website. You must have access to and use compatible hardware to be able to connect to the Swyg platform.
To be eligible for prizes you must agree to let Swyg share recordings of your interviews with the public. You must sign and return all Prize acceptance documents as may be required by Competition organizers.
The challenge is open to people worldwide, except that if you or the country you reside in are subject to U.S. export controls or sanctions, or E.U. export controls or sanctions, you may not enter the Competition.
Other local rules and regulations may apply to you, so please check your local laws to ensure that you are eligible to participate in skills-based competitions. The Competition organisers reserve the right to award alternative prizes where needed to comply with local laws.
If you are an employee of Swyg or are otherwise affiliated with Swyg, you can still participate but you will be ineligible to win prizes.
Any participant can win a maximum of 1 prize.
Participants can be disqualified from the competition at the organizers’ discretion for violating these rules or other unprofessional or disruptive behaviour.
Participants will be judged on four key criteria: Accuracy, Completeness, Communication, and Interviewer Skill. Scores are based on ratings of peers which will be moderated by the Swyg team.
The top 10 rated people will be listed on Swyg’s leaderboard, which we will share with industry leaders, on social media, and through other channels.
We will use the best answers to show candidates in our community what good answers look like.
We will use examples of the most highly rated interviewers to help everyone understand how to become a better interviewer.
More generally, we will analyse the data from the contest to help us better understand what factors make interviewers good/bad.
Any intellectual property developed by participants during this contest will belong to the participant that shared it. By participating, you grant to Swyg an unlimited, worldwide license to use any such intellectual property for any purpose including educational, commercial, and promotional purposes.
This challenge is subject to the laws and regulations of the Republic of Ireland.
